About Kyrenia
Kyrenia in North Cyprus is one of the most beautiful places of
island of the Aphrodite. It is situated in a beautiful bay, and snow-white small
houses are reflected in the blue sea. The hills round Kyrenia are covered with
magnificent flower carpets in spring.Golden beaches and perfect climatic conditions make it possible for water lovers

Bellapais Abbey is located three miles to the east from Kyrenia and built
on a rocky outcrop on the slopes of the Five-Finger mountain range. This
wonderful integrity, the unique monument is the most perfect sample of the
Cyprian Gothic style. Abbey was the first Catholic monastery of Cyprus.
Also Kyrenia is famous for many other well-known monuments of architecture such
as: BUFFAVENTO CASTLE, SAINT MAGAR MONASTERY, St. HILARION CASTLE, KYRENIA
CASTLE. The last one is a truly magnificent edifice constructed by the
Byzantines in the 9th century to ward off Arab invaders. This fortress was
further enhanced by the Venetians and it is one of the most imposing sites in
the Mediterranean. But if you would like to have some souvenir as the recollection of your
